How do I earn stardust?
Your alien collects 100 stardust per focused minute. Finish the full timer for a +20% bonus, and growing streaks add up to +50% more.
Is OTUS free?
Yes — and the free version is the whole adventure, not a demo: focus missions from 10 to 90 minutes, full stardust earning, streaks, decorations, new planets, sharing, and Deep Focus that blocks all distracting apps. No ads ever. OTUS Pro (€2.99/month or €25.99/year) adds the power-ups: choose exactly which apps get blocked, missions up to 6 hours, your timer in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen, the exclusive Cosmic skin, planet styles, and special rides.
What breaks a focus session?
In Normal mode, switching to another app starts a 30-second countdown — come back in time or the stardust is dropped. Locking your phone is always fine.
What is Deep Focus?
Deep Focus uses Apple’s Screen Time to actually block apps during your session. The free version blocks all distracting apps; OTUS Pro lets you choose exactly which. It asks for the Screen Time permission when first used.
Can I bypass Deep Focus?
No — the block screen has no escape button. Ending the mission early (and dropping the stardust) is the only way out. Please don’t switch off OTUS’s Screen Time permission in the Settings app: that disables Deep Focus entirely.
How long can a focus session be?
10 to 90 minutes in the free version. OTUS Pro unlocks missions up to 6 hours.
How do streaks work?
Focus at least 25 minutes in a day and that day qualifies. Consecutive qualified days keep your comet burning. Streak freezes (bought with stardust) automatically protect the streak on a missed day.
What can I spend stardust on?
Decorations for your planets — moons, stars, rings, comets, auroras, volcanoes, even a black hole — plus streak freezes, new planets, and more.
What happens when I get a new iPhone?
Your galaxy travels with you: progress (streaks, stardust, planets, your alien) syncs through your personal iCloud, so a new iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account picks it up automatically. For paid items, tap Restore purchases in the shop or Settings.
How do I cancel OTUS Pro?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → OTUS Pro → Cancel. You keep Pro until the end of the paid period.
Why doesn’t the timer appear in the Dynamic Island?
The Live Activity timer (Lock Screen & Dynamic Island) is an OTUS Pro feature, and the Dynamic Island itself requires an iPhone 14 Pro or newer.
Does the app show ads or sell my data?
Never. Your data lives on your device and in your private iCloud — we run no servers and cannot see it. See the privacy policy.
