Your focused minutes turn into something you can actually see: a planet with volcanoes on it, a comet that has been burning for forty days, a galaxy you built one quiet afternoon at a time. There are no guilt graphs and no shame stats — just a small alien who is genuinely happy when you put the phone down.
Locking your phone is always fine. Switching to another app is not: you get 30 seconds to come back before Otus drops the stardust. That one rule is the whole design.
Private by design
OTUS has no account system, no analytics, no ads and no servers of ours. Your galaxy lives on your iPhone and syncs through your own private iCloud, which we cannot read. The apps you choose to block in Deep Focus are opaque tokens handled entirely by iOS — OTUS never learns which apps you use.
